I'm Asian. Every time I got to Europe, I come across European men hitting on me in the streets. They'll say random stuff like konichiwa and how they like sushis. I'm not even Japanese.

Good for you! I recently took myself to Hawaii over Christmas. I have no kids and didn't want to be alone at home during the holidays. Solo trips are awesome.

I can't believe that if I subtracted everything I spent on my NVX in the past, it's like I worked for less than minimum wage. I'm so glad I found FDS and I got to save money and TAKE THIS AWESOME VACAY! And to imagine it would have gone into a scrotes ugly torn wallet.

I notice this a lot too in the US. Even worse when a guy is with a girl and he will break his neck to look at me and she becomes visibly distraught because then I feel awful.

Before you think I'm a pickme for saying that- the thing is, the girl that he is with is almost always 10x prettier than me. They're just assholes who are never happy with what they have. All of my exes did this to me too.

I currently live in a southern European country and this is super common! Men with gorgeous girlfriends checking me out like they've never seen a woman in shorts before. It's disrespectful and a lot of the time the women know what they're doing.

I was in Spain a few years ago, and sat down at a public fountain, right next to two men around my same age; other people were sitting on the fountain too, including couples and families. I had been walking a while; the fountain was in the shade, and I like to people watch, so I took a little break. I was completely ignored by these two men, which is fine by me, especially as a solo female traveler. All of a sudden, a very beautiful, slim, young woman walks by, and they literally snorted, and bucked their hips up, making THAT motion, as she walked by, and of course she utterly ignored them.

So many emotions in that moment: pissed because I was right there and ignored/overlooked (which yeah, pickmeisha of me, but it is what I felt, for two seconds); pissed for her because she was objectified and catcalled; contemptuous because they were acting out stupidly like males less than half their age; contemptuous because they knew they'd get ignored, so they made a lame, limp bid for "power" in public, and got contempt thrown right back at them. I felt so beslimed simply sitting next to them, even though I was tired, I got up and found somewhere else to perch for a while. So much this. I get it, although I have to say, far better to be ignored as older, fat, plain, etc., than to be constantly catcalled.
