Don’t sweat it. I truly think that men and OLD are the problem, not you. Keep doing what you’re doing and block and move on.

Men get really really lazy on dating apps because it’s somewhat anonymous and they can ditch without a trace and without facing repercussions. Even after you meet them once, the lack of mutual friends means you only know as much about them as they let you know, which makes them more likely to disappear.

Also if you’re gonna OLD at least get rid of bumble! The woman has to make the first move, which means you’re going to end up matching with a lot of guys who were probably only “kinda interested,” but kept talking to you because you showed interest and they’re bored. It’s the same as in real life.

All in all, I think you should take a break. The last part of your post kinda reveals that dating isn’t fun for you right now and if it’s not fun there’s literally no point in subjecting yourself to it.

Oh my god it's not just you! I feel this way too; OLD's like the LVM parade and this kind if shit happens CONSTANTLY, all the time. Just be glad you didn't waste more time on these losers, and definitely take a break if you're feeling burnt out. These guys will happily line up to drain you of a few weeks worth of attention/validation for the rest of your life, if you let them.

Just keep doing you; I'm sure you'll stumble across someone HV eventually 🥰

Yeah I have the same experience, for how much they complain about not getting any matches or dates they sure are nonchalant when they actually get a woman lmao

I've had the same exact experience. Even for video dates which I've been trying to do - the most LOW EFFORT (for men - I still wash my hair and do makeup) date imaginable, they will ghost/flake/cancel. It really does make you take it personally even though you know you shouldn't. I guess I just wonder why they even bother agreeing to a date if they're clearly not interested.

What you explained from what I know from my own and friends experience is normal for OLD.

The only friends who had slightly different were ones just looking for hook ups and even then it still happened and came with other consequences/upsetting dude behavior.

Same story here. It's not personal. It's just easier for men to swipe on their phones and then go back to playing video games or whatever. None of them are serious.

The best way to handle this is to always have a backup plan.

I find it a huge relief when guys cancel or flake on dates because they're filtering themselves out of my life. Instead of going on a pointless date and potentially wasting even more of my time and effort, I now have the opportunity to do literally anything else. Seriously, I find doing laundry more emotionally fulfilling than going out with someone who is too immature to honor commitments they've made to other people.

I think to myself... I'm a HVW so there must be someone like me, a HVM, on dating apps too. But man it must be 1 in 200 and never the ones I was interested in.
