To drive the point home, I’ll go into my situation a little more. My ex-LVM husband never stopped cheating throughout the marriage despite being the one who pushed for it. Every single time he got caught, it was due to my snooping.

The very last time, he casually mentions this woman, and even her husband (implying the fact that she was married means there was nothing to worry about). They were coworkers.

I never suspected anything because he was home on time, unlike previous behavior. But they were on lunch breaks together at motels, spending quality time. Our marriage thankfully broke down over it when he left our family for her.

Not even a year later, the love of his life (he told me) and him had a new baby. Come to find out, it wasn’t his. Nor was it her husband’s child. Couldn’t have happened to a better guy.

Edit: I mean, I have two degrees, plus a few diplomas in other side gigs I was interested in, have a decent paying job which I’ve worked up to in my career, I changed careers successfully three times, I budget and exercise and eat mostly healthily, I own my own car outright (paid off the loan), pay my own bills, own my own place (paying it off), and always try to do my best and improve myself all the time. And although I don’t see it much, I’ve been told a lot that I’m attractive. I’m ahead of my mortgage too. I have combatted mental illness throughout my life, and escaped vet scary violent relationships, and still managed to have compassion for people and not be totally broken. This guy has nothing but his alcohol, mates, lies and weed. I’m an idiot!

Yesss I never found proof but here’s my story! So my ex casually mentions a girl friend and how she’d “love to meet me” oo how exciting when my guys girl friend wants to meet me eyeroll. Anyway the more he talked about her I could tell in his voice how much higher it sounded and he’d have a twinkle in his eye. Then he told me how she’s cheating on her boyfriend and the cheatee hangs out with both of them. He said he thought it was funny. And I was young and dumbb stayed a bit longer but I knew like this sounds really fucked. Because shit sounds like he’d have no problem hanging out with me and a girl he’s cheating on me with and who wants to be friends with someone like that?? I dump him for it but loneliness I took him back for a week and I asked more questions while drunk and he admitted “Well I had a crush on her a long time ago” I dumped him again that weekend. It’s like a fever dream looking back at relationships when I didn’t realize I could have any man that I want!
