In Hindi movies (better known internationally as "Bollywood" lolol), it's only recently been the trend to get objectively good looking heros, whereas since the start of this industry literally a century ago, heroines have been beautiful.

Sometimes it's fair, since the average looking guys who are great actors balance out the gorgeous but not as talented female counterparts, and the screenplay is centered around the male's personal journey.

However, it gets real old, real quick, and it made me feel growing up that maybe it just had to be this way. Specifically, that women MUST be beautiful to be valued, and men were afforded the privilege of being just human.

Recently, being at home in this pandemic and looking around my family's prayer room, I saw how hot Lord Shiva is always portrayed to be. I'm talking chiseled face, long hair, and very muscular body. I grew up hearing about how Hindu women often literally pray to get a hubby as hot as him.

Another example is Siddhartha Gautam, the man who later became known as the Buddha, was described as a very beautiful and physically captivating man.

This made me realize that for millenia, straight men in the "subcontinent" have always know what makes men objectively H.O.T. Yet, as the people disproportionately in charge of everything from ancient sculptures to modern media, they haven't let women who like men have their fun in objectifying men in the way the reverse happens.

So women who date men, take your pick, go find someone you find hot from the get go rather than adjusting to his presence! Let yourself be just as instinct driven and primal! 😉👏🏾
