I feel the same. I like her music. Her statements comes with the territory of being a bipolar musician having access to Twitter. I don’t hold it against her. Like you said men in her position have done the exact same thing and don’t catch that level of heat. It’s because she is a woman, AND a black woman which makes it 10x harder, that she gets this level of scrutiny. I just feel compassion. I struggle with BPD too. If I wasn’t on my meds oooooh man idk who I would be. People are not sympathetic to women with mental illness they just mock you. Oh you’re crazy, no one will love you, you’re damaged, etc... Men get sympathy and everywhere it’s like “wah why don’t you care about men’s mental health everyone care about men!” Meanwhile women just struggle with their disorders and go to therapy and stay in our corners and do our thing. Meanwhile we prop up men and have to care about the gender that doesn’t care about us. Fuck em.

I've been noticing how much hate Azealia Banks has received ever since she went after Cardi B. Has she done somethings and said things in the past that were horrible? Yes, but I don't think she deserves all of the hate she receives.

She's actually talented unlike a lot of these new artists. But unfortunately due to colorism and her being a woman she's going to be judged more harshly compared to a man or a lighter skinned woman. I notice that a lot of women will talk about her so bad but will run and download these colorist rappers albums that openly talk about treating women like shit. I've always been rooting for her in spite of all of the things she's said.

But yeah it isn't fair that men get away with so much shit and get to beat, or shoot women (Tory Lanez) and still get to have a successful career.

Lmfao you expect people to have empathy for black women?? Ahaha yea right, black women are not even human in most people’s eyes, even our own men don’t consider us human beings. We’re either fetishized, pandered to or completely brutalized but we are never humanized like our male counterparts. This is a large reason I don’t agree with the BLM movement, black men get so much empathy from us, we die protecting them. But we are seen as subhuman to them, this is a large issue that I do not see being solved any time soon. We are one of the most educated demographics and in fact we’ve accomplished more than I think any other oppressed demographic. Black women still have the empathy of a freaking saint and yet we’re brutalized in the most animalistic ways by our own sons and partners and then laughed at for it. Called pickmeishas and so on and so forth, don’t get me wrong I’m a firm believer in FDS principles but it’s disingenuous to compare a black woman being a pick me to a yt woman who has every opportunity to the contrary. Black women don’t exactly get a lot of choice, it’s beaten and raped into our existence. Maybe some black women grew up in better circumstances but I had to claw myself into the position I’m currently in and I’ve seen first hand how a majority of black women and girls live. It can turn someone into a pessimist very quickly.

There was a study before that showed women who work in courts got punished more harshly when they were written up. Women in general are held to higher standards of behavior than men.

there was an article on the front page today about male victims of workplace sexual harassment, it said 17% of reported workplace sexual harassment is targeted at men and the tone of comments made it out as if that is totally outrageous and horrific statistic, and how no one takes it seriously enough when men are victims

but wait....

if 17% of victims are men, then 83% of victims are women. eighty-three percent. so you’ll have to excuse me if, yes, I do in fact think this a much bigger problem for women than men, and i’m inclined to tell people to shut the fuck up when they want to start whinging about how life is so unfair for poor, poor unfortunate men

The way Azealia is treated is sickening. She is clearly unwell and doesn't have half Kanye's money. She is psychotic and in some people who are psychotic, they say racist things when delusional, even if they are not that way inclined when stable. I can't find any literature on it, but it is definitely a thing, I have seen it a few times as have other people I know. I just Googled, if someone has experiences racism they could be more likely to develop schizophrenia. For all we know, the trauma of experiencing racism is coming out when they're psychotic. The mind is a strange thing.

I don't understand how people can think that a woman who is suicidal and boiling her dead cat is someone who needs anything other than help. It's disgraceful behaviour by the public. What makes me so sad is her explanation for boiling her dead cat was that she thought it would bring her cat back to life. Yup, so she is delusional. Mental illness. Leave her the fuck ALONE

Fat is a Feminist Issue

What’s a go to insult for women regardless of their weight? Fat.

Who naturally has more fat on their bodies? Women.

Who decides when a woman is too fat? Men.

Food is also associated with sex. A woman who eats a lot is looked down on the same way as a promiscuous woman. That’s why they turn food/diet into a moral issue when it’s inherently not.

It’s just another way for men to control us, demean us, degrade us.

Sorry for derailing. My ADD brain forgot this was about bipolar and how differently Azaelia Banks is treated. I completely agree! She was also allegedly assaulted by Russel Crowe and he somehow came out smelling like roses. I’d love to know what happened there, hopefully she got some kind of payout from him.

Never expected to see a post about Amberlynn Reid here... I used to watch her a few years ago for the train wreck. It was amusing watching her new diet videos and bet how long she would last. I'm not proud, but she really was a terrible person and I think Becky deserved better.

Nikokado however, I found him insufferable. I think I watched two or three of his mukbang videos and it was enough. I couldn't stand his fake tears, man boobs and disrespect for everyone else. I get it, it was his "persona" or whatever, but I absolutely hated him.
