This has been said frequently on our sub, but I'd like to share my little story. Also curious when you ladies personally think a good time to end a date is.

Back when I first started dating (at the end of high school), I had very few friends. I wanted attention and socialization so badly so I tried to find a boyfriend.
I would always stay out 5-6 hours with guys from school. We'd be walking around downtown or eating somewhere. My old pickme self would stick around for hours because I was so lonely and enjoyed the attention. They always made it known that they had a good time and generally seemed very happy during our time spent together. Nothing was ever sexual.

None of them asked for a second date, they usually proceeded to fade/ghost. The ones that were 'interested' just tried to disgustingly orchestrate the 'second date' as a hookup.
These were also men I already knew/was 'friends' with/had been out with before in group settings, so there was no real 'first meetup, I didn't like her' as it goes with OLD.

There was one guy I went out during this time period, and I was not attracted to him at all. I cut the date off after an hour and a half and he was begging to see me again at the end of it. Fast forward to my early university days... and this was when I started using dating apps. I would still stay out for hours with these guys, and I thought that because they were happy to stay that they liked me. Still, none of them asked for a second date.

A couple years later I finally developed a solid friend group that I hung out with regularly. I had taken a break from dating for a while, and decided I would give it a shot again. I went out with a few guys during this time period, and because I already had good/frequent socialization with my friends, I didn't feel the need to stay out for hours talking on dates. I would keep it to 1-2 hours.

Lo and behold, these guys would be asking for second, third, fourth, etc dates. I realized that this was because I wasn't endlessly talking and giving out all my information in a single outing. These guys were walking away knowing almost everything about me.

If you're out with during a date for too long upon just meeting them, it will inevitably get boring for both of you, no matter how much you 'vibe' or get along. I don't care what anyone says. If you just spent HOURS talking to someone, chances are you'll be burned out and not want to see them for a while. The same happens with friends sometimes, but in the case of dating ghosting usually ensues as opposed to seeing your friend a month or two later.
I've been through this feeling of 'I don't want to see this person again' recently with guys that kept trying to extend dates.

The point is, keep long outings reserved to friends and family. Even if this guy is someone you've known for years, if you've just started dating then keep it short initially.
