A lot of things can go wrong in LDRs. One of the strongest indicators that a man is high-value and genuinely interested in you long-term, is how he treats you when he takes you out on dates, and this is something you can only observe when you're with the person in person.

If you're talking to someone long-distance, you haven't the slightest clue how he actually is in real life or how he intends to treat you on dates. This is the biggest problem. He also is able to relax his efforts from a distance, as all he has to do is text or call or facetime you for a bit to maintain the relationship. Being in a different city, state, or country, allows a man to take it easy and be relaxed with his effort.

Also, his time is unaccounted for in a LDR. You cannot know if he is spinning plates, actually has a steady gf or wife, etc. if you are only speaking/texting at certain times. You are as real to him as a phone app is when you're long-distance. All he sees are your texts and emails. You're basically a virtual gf, and he doesn't even have to take you out. It's a win-win-win all around for the attention-seeking man who likes the ego boost you provide him from a distance.

For this reason, I advise against LDRs or starting a relationship with someone you've never met who lives far away. LDRs can work in the rare case the man is high-effort and high-value to his core. This kind of HVM in a LDR isn't going to let distance get in the way of treating you properly, wooing you, and courting you. He is going to send you flowers, gifts, handwritten letters, etc. He is going to be available for you and fulfill your emotional needs. He has a plan on how to live near each other in the future He is going to make time to fly out to see you, or fly you out to see him (on his dime).

Talking on the phone and consistent texting means so much less than what women think it means. What counts is how he treats you on dates. You need to observe his natural male instinct to pursue and whether he has empathy and high-value qualities or not By participating in a LDR, you are usually lowering your standards. Your needs can rarely be met when the person is as real to you as a phone app.

If you've been speaking to someone months and months, and it's going nowhere, you're wasting your time. Remember, a HVM proposes within six months and actively pursues you

What do you all think of LDRs? Anything to add, FDSers?
