Hello ladies. I would like to propose that maybe our grandmothers weren't wrong when they chose to wait until marriage to have sex. I've been reading on this site for a little while and have noticed the emphasis on the rigorous vetting process. However members will also frequently say that "there's still no way to tell, even after months, years, after marriage, etc.". This can be little discouraging because deep down, we all want to find the partner who will love us forever and furthermore for us not to waste weeks/months/years of our lives. But I think there IS a solid way to tell, and that is waiting until marriage to have sex.

I understand that this method may seem a little extreme to most, and I'm not saying that it's 100% guaranteed. I am saying however that nothing will weed out LVM faster than seeing if they're actually willing to wait. If you find a man who is willing to wait and who shows consistent, unwavering love to you until then, then you'll KNOW that he actually chose you for you, and that he actually values you for who you are.

What do we gain from having sex with men without a true commitment anyway? It has been mentioned in the Handbook and on various posts that we as women actually have a lot more to risk when we get into sexual relationships. We're more susceptible to STD's, pregnancy, complications with abortion, being stigmatized for being single moms, and on top of it all we are naturally more emotional and more easily attached than the males are. It's also no secret that being on IUD/birth control SUCKS and wreaks a lot of havoc on our bodies. Do men have to subject THEIR bodies to any of these unnatural things? NO!

And I'm sure I'm not the only one who is sickened by the idea of having giving their body and ABSOLUTE BEST to a man, only to realize that he was LVM/NVM after the fact... 🤢

I believe that the ONLY real way to tell if a man truly loves you and is truly committed to you is to see that ring on your finger. I will admit that my main motivation for wanting to do this is my faith as a Christian. But I do think that this method may have its place here on FDS for those who are willing to try something different, even if they don't share the same beliefs that I have.

I realize now that I have absolutely nothing to lose, because singleness is awesome, and I have FDS partly to thank for that. I've decided from now on that I'm going to wait. Who's with me? 😁
