Last relationship my dude got super sick. He had to stop working as a physical therapist, and so with me being incredibly in love I took over everything. Cooking, cleaning, shopping, being the only income. I had myself convinced that he was going to get better and get back to work and we would move forward in our happy lives together. I spent SOOOOOOO much money on him. Took him to doctors and specialists trying to figure out what was wrong. This lasted for 4 effing years!! I wasn't in a relationship, I was a nurse and caregiver. When I finally kicked him out, he came back when I was at worked and took all my furniture. He said that because we were together 4 years he was entitled to half of my stuff. Funny thing though, we weren't even married!!!
I love being single and can't imagine being in a relationship again. I love my freedom so much.

I’m a little confused, is there like an expiration for who you can call an ex? If it’s been more than a couple of years you can’t call them an ex anymore? Do I just sound like an idiot calling my middle school boyfriend an ex lol eek....Man the rules keep changing :-/

He’s not pushing - he knows me well enough to know to say what he does. And not about being “weak” at all- it’s knowing where and how I need someone, which he is right.
And he’s not pushing - never said that- but he doesn’t understand why I’m at a firm “no” right now for “finding” any one.

Whenever I start to feel "lonely", I remind myself it isn't really loneliness, it's just the social programming telling me I'm not worth enough or will never be happy enough by myself and jump on this sub for a while. Usually pulls me out of it.
And if it's a really bad day, I jump on tinder, chat to 2 or 3 poor prospects and remember how exhausting it is to try to engage with these fucking manlets. It's a baptism by fire but I'm cured for a few months after that.

100% this forever. I have wonderful female friends who are smart and career orientated and just cant be single, the level of shit they put up with to have a man around....nope! Single life is more satisfying than dating a man baby....or worse
