It's a normal response after being in powerless situations to try to gain power in whatever way you can.

Sex work is empowering! - A common point made by libfems. Because for eternity, a woman's sexuality was controlled and judged by men. If they're going to be sexualized anyways, might as well do it on their terms and make money off of it. This is their attempt of taking back power.
BDSM - It's not abuse because I'm asking for it and I can control when he stops. When someone experiences assault, a better way to overcome this trauma is by getting angry, using your voice and body to get away and remove the harm or threat, and to promise yourself you won't let anyone hurt you ever again.
It's totally cool for my boyfriend to watch porn! - Porn is so engrained in our culture, and lots of men are addicted. It feels as though wanting porn not to be in a relationship is an unwinnable battle. From the ease of convenience and secrecy, to how normalized it is, you'd be deemed unreasonable for having such an expectation.
Thirst traps - trying to attain male validation by sexualizing themselves. Men have the power, if they can get a man's attention, then maybe now they have a little more power than they had before.
The reality is that men have created the rules of the world. It has only been 50 years (!!) since all women got the right to vote in the US, and still for many women in other countries, don't have that. Men own majority of the real estate, hotels, restaurants, gas stations, utilities, consumer products, and basically all businesses. They are the ones that mostly write and enforce legislation, direct the movies and entertainment we watch, etc.
And then there is the dark web. And human trafficking. And the millions of videos screened by moderators everyday online that are taken down because they show depraved, indecent, inhumane, and traumatic acts. All of which are tied back to men.
Libfems pull the wool over their eyes because it's just too unbearable to live in a world where women are, at best, treated as second class citizens, holding little to no institutional power behind them.
