Honestly that is fine for some women as long as they take all of the responsibilities "traditional women" have to take too.
So doing all the cleaning, raising the kids, planning, cooking, providing emotional support, and more.
But unfortunately they try to pick and choose so they can be pandered to with a lady who has to do all the above and work.

Honestly I’d be fine splitting every check as long as the dude 100% matches my energy.
I’m wearing makeup and doing my brows for dates? He better not be walking around with caterpillars over his eyes and visible nose hair. I’m spending $100 on a haircut and color? He better be getting biweekly trims and making sure it’s well styled when we’re out. I’m doing the dishes? He’d better be doing the cooking. I’m vacuuming? He’d better be dusting. I’m doing laundry? He’d better be folding/hanging. I’m wearing a $60 dress and $50 heels? He’d better be in a well fitted suit and unscuffed shoes. I’m buying a card for his mom’s birthday? He’d damn well better be buying one for mine. I’m buying curtains for the room? He’d better be researching color palettes and interior design Pinterest boards and sending me suggestions. I’m getting my nails done? He’s getting his nails done. etc. etc.
To date I’ve never met a man who even came close.
