Even the ones that are actually upfront are allowed to say they want a woman who stays home, takes care of the house, and depends on him for money. This is acceptable and approved.
But a woman says she wants to stay home, take care of the house, and have her man support her is a lazy entitled bitch 🙄

Lmaoo stg and the worst they get called is a “simp” for wanting to take care of a women🙃
[–]loudest_gussetFDS Newbie36 points37 points38 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I for one, love my "simp." Men just use that word to shame and pressure HVM to act like them. Sure, the HVM's girlfriend/wife is taken, but imagine the girlfriend telling her single friends how a man should act? Then women will start raising their standards! How awful!
[–]Chantelmorris345FDS Newbie[S] 11 points12 points13 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Girl same!! I agree they use that to shame men for actually treating a women like a human being and not some object to be pumped then disposed of. I think every women should lift their standards so these bums can go back to actually having to put effort in to get a women then they will appreciate us more.

Wonder what scrotes call a HVM when him and you just wanna team up on eye level and have each others back thru life.

Simp. They call them Simp.

The difference here is consent. Then men want you to struggle with them about how you (women) will spend your life, but eventually concede because you are mentally broken, so that he 'wins"'

Churches love to stress how women should submit to men but men don’t wanna pay the cost to be the boss lmaoo like make it make sense if you have a woman going 50/50 she is on the same level as you what is she submitting to?
[–]MyplummmsRuthless Strategist6 points7 points8 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Men in the church act like marriage is owed to them by some divine right, when it’s really a privilege. 🤦♀️

Exactly. Christ is my man. He is perfect and no male could ever measure up. I think of Mary Magdalene. She was the first person Jesus showed himself to after he rose from the dead. That means something, and Mary Magdalene is the ONLY person Jesus left a memorial to in the Bible.
My dad leads my family's Bible study and the evening he spoke of Mary Magdalene was the only time he ever cried. Her story in the Bible is SO powerful.
For anyone wondering, she is the "prostitute" that the hypocrites threw at Jesus' feet to test him. He knelt down and wrote names in the dirt. He stood up and said "He who is without sin, cast the first stone", they all left. The names he wrote in the dirt are the names of the males who had raped her. And this is the woman to see him first after he rose from the dead.
Then the disciples went away again unto their own home.
But Mary stood without at the sepulcher weeping: and as she wept, she stooped down, and looked into the sepulcher,
And seeth two angels in white sitting, the one at the head, and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain.
And they say unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? She saith unto them, Because they have taken away my Lord, and I know not where they have laid him.
And when she had thus said, she turned herself back, and saw Jesus standing, and knew not that it was Jesus.
Jesus saith unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? whom seekest thou? She, supposing him to be the gardener, saith unto him, Sir, if thou have borne him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away.
Jesus saith unto her, Mary. She turned herself, and saith unto him, Rabboni; which is to say, Master.
Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.
Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that he had spoken these things unto her.
John 20:10-18

To be fair, I'm not religious, but I believe in higher power and when I read the Bible, certain things impacted me very much. It always surprises me how many Christian men utterly fail to live up to Jesus' values (like it's shown in Mary Magdalene's story for example).

I was in love with christians my whole life and got my heart broken so many times extremely bad, I'm talking of really hard things to get over. One even used the religion to break up with me. My bf is not a christian and I've never been this happy. He's the most sincere, honest, intelligent, trustworthy and loving person I've ever met.
After years of having a religion, I kind of decided I wouldn't anymore. I believe in God and take all the positive stuff and love out of it, but my worst life experiences were made with people church-related.
Whatever gets you by and makes your life beautiful works for me, as long as it doesn't harm others.

To be fair: sounds like you're a nun!
Though being an outspoken Atheist, nuns are the effin coolest and I have the highest respect of them.
Saw a friend of mine growing up in an orphanage and the nuns were the most awesome, loving, caring people I've ever met.

Like the one's who ran the Magdalen Laundries?

There are millions of people who have horror stories of being abused by nuns as children in Catholic schools.

GoldeneAnanas was talking about the nuns who raised her friend. I'm not sure what your point is.
[–]penelopekittyFDS STRATEGY COACH-4 points-3 points-2 points 6 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Nuns as a whole are not too cool. You may find a good one here or there. Perhaps you aren't very familiar with Catholicism or how harmful the church has been to women since it's inception. That is my point and there is plenty evidence to support it. Read up on it a bit.
[–]VillanellohFDS Newbie7 points8 points9 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
But she was talking about a specific group of nuns who were good to her friend. She never said every nun was good. You just shoehorned in your views for no reason. We all know about the abusive nuns in Irish schools for "bad" girls and Australian orphanages etc. She wasn't talking about them!
