One of the most HVM I've ever encountered in the wild was a bouncer who tossed an incel who wouldn't take "no" for an answer. Virgin McGee was running really bad PUA textbook moves on me and a friend, got rejected, then got really disgusting and aggressive. Started calling us "fat whores." It was awkward because the woman I was with wasn't a close girlfriend, but rather a coworker, and she and I had decided to keep the party going after a post-work happy hour event. It's so awkward to be in that situation with a professional contact, someone who you don't necessarily want to hear you say a bunch of vicious insults. I'm a size 2/4 and this woman looked like she weighed maybe 100 pounds soaking wet. We were both in work clothes. But yeah, "fat whores."

HV bouncer clocked the situation from across a crowded bar and physically dragged him out, then came back to see if we were okay and told the bartender to comp us a round for the indignity. I don't remember it verbatim, but everything he said was just so lovely, polite and sweet. I told him his girlfriend was a lucky woman and he replied with that oh-so-perfect "nah, I'm the lucky one." Sigh, swoon. They don't make enough of 'em like that.

I've gone from a "beautiful princess" to a "stupid ugly bitch" in the span of one "no thank you" before. Pretty impressive tbh.

When you reject somebody, you see their true colors. If somebody can keep their cool and retain their politeness post-rejection, they absolutely have my respect.

This applies to others who find out about the rejection as well. I once rejected a pervy colleague point-blank by telling him that I'm a cheap hooker who wants to give a sleazebag like him the time of day in exchange for a few of his phony compliments. Word got around pretty quickly -- some of the other employees (male and female) tried to slut-shame me and spread gossip about me, that I'm either a Jesus-freak or else I've got an elderly sugar daddy (simply because I dress well -- like "yeah bitch I dress well on this high-ass salary I've got"); but others actually let me know that they support me and that the other guy's a d-bag.

Unfortunately, as sweet as some of these people are, there are too many pervy d-bags at work for me to want to hang around. The guy I'm currently dating (a colleague but from a different department -- we met over lunch) is also leaving because of the toxic environment (apparently he's treated as an outcast because he's Scandinavian). Unsurprisingly, people who are pervy and sexist also turn out to be racist. Who'd have thunk?

I swear- I’ve been out of the game a bit and came here to evaluate my now-over relationship that was my first in a very long time. I lurked the Incel/neckbeard/nice guy subs on the suspicion he was one but I was too limerenced to see it during the span of our time together. I only see many of these red flags looking back and how I willfully ignored them.

That said- I honestly can’t believe these men, if you can call them that, exist. I mean wtf queens? This is what you deal with on the regular?
