The only thing I disagree with in this is that it's not just a lack of emotional intelligence. It's a lack of respect, where men just ignore their partners when they say they're hurt or angry.

Many of them don't care about our basic needs in a relationship, even if that need is "please stop emotionally abusing me". Then are soo shocked when we leave, and try to get back with us for years.

This reminds me of a tiktok I saw the other day. Some guy filmed his wife angrily walking by with the laundry she asked him to do 45 minutes ago. He started lip syncing to a song about having a beer. None of the women who saw it found it funny or charming, in fact they commented to tell him he was headed for a divorce and needed to do better. Pair that with the quote from Will Smith someone posted on here a few days ago about how men laugh at how poorly they treat women and the post about the guy who was shocked that putting effort into his marriage and wife made it better. It really paints a picture.
