I was raised by a single father. When I was a child I remember a female relative came to visit and told me off for not helping my dad clean the house. Instead of telling my dad off for being an irresponsible adult, she obviously felt a female child is more responsible for doing domestic duties than a grown ass man. If I was raised by a single mother, everyone would berate her for not doing her job.

As a first daughter, 🖕🏼🖕🏼this guy.
Omg I remember my siblings could be little turd butts and so I would get them for it then tell my mother on them for misbehaving amd she’s like “well since you handled it now I can’t do anything.” WTF. To this day that boils my blood. You can’t what, be a mother?
My father was violent, so while she hid in the bathroom like a coward, deep in denial, I was the one who stepped up and would throw shit at him. Or be taking care of my siblings after he hurt them.
Men don’t have the protector provider genes, first born daughters do.
(Sorry for being salty.)

This is why I hate being the first born daughter

Being the oldest sibling sucks. I spent most of my life raising kids that weren't mine... Now people give me shit for not wanting my own. Is it really that much of a surprise though?

Why does he want children if he isn't going to raise them? Putting all that stress on girl is shitty. His terrible person. I hope he never has children especially a girl.

LMAO. The old conservative “vitreous”misogyny, painting our purpose as mothers under a “complimentary” light.
I hope he never has kids. What he’s essentially saying is he’d be a dead beat.

This is truth, I’m the older sister and i literally raised my brothers in many ways, learned how to cook at 12, etc. Men like this are literally lazy scrotes

Sometimes I want to tell my POS brother “hey I didn’t raise you to act like this!” Lol. Cause wtf dude.

Yup. Men like that need a vasectomy.
I'm chid-free since I already raised my siblings. To hell with doing it again.

Remember that time you got up from an important task to go make a cup of coffee and then realized you were cleaning the bathroom three hours later?
Yeah me too

my current hack is to keep a white board next to me on my desk - this way if i forget, i have it written down where i can see it.

I use my google calendar this way! And I keep a pad and paper next to the bed for when I wake up in the middle of the night and remember something. That way I don't toss and turn for an hour afterwards trying to commit it to memory for the morning.
