My theory is that the average man no longer needs to do any manual labor while women are still expected to do domestic labor. Men have become spoiled, and everything else that comes along with modern times—porn, social media, performative culture—means that some men take the easy road and become LV.

This is all anecdotal, but every HVM I know in my life is either a carpenter or knows how to build things/fix things and is always willing to help the women in his life.

Unfortunately, men used feminism as an excuse to sit back on their asses and do nothing, while women picked up the slack.

They took something that should have been a means of equality and turned it into another form of patriarchy.

This is not new. I majored in history. Men have always been like this.

For example, the reason prohibition started was because women were tired of their husbands spending all of their money on booze and coming home drunk and beating & raping them.

Men could legally rape their wives (U.S.) in most states until the 1990s. Women were not allowed to enter into contracts until the 1960s, so if they left their husbands they would have to find another man to sign for them...think checking accounts, leases, etc. So women could not leave their POS husbands because they were not considered people.

Autonomy for women is so new. So when you see an older woman don't judge her for what she puts up with, most of the time she literally had no choice.

The past has been written by those in power. You have to dig to find the real history.

We've got it good ladies. We don't have to put up with that shit. So let's not.
