Unless it was major, I’ve eliminated ‘sorry’ and ‘I apologize’ from my dealings with men. Instead of ‘I’m sorry to hear that’ I say ‘Well, that’s unfortunate’.

So true. Everytime I see posts about women venting and then asking am I crazy for feeling this way? This comes to mind. You’re not crazy, sis. And you know it. You were just guilted and gaslighted by some scrote into thinking enforcing your boundaries is wrong.

My very first boyfriend did this. My ex husband did this. The guy I saw after my divorce did this. Not all of them did it at the same level of toxicity, but every man I’ve ever been with did this.

Me IRL in my last relationship. I was so sorry while he was cheating on me and 'needed space to think about us' - which went on for 8 months. The lessons I took out of that though have made me who I am today and why I relate with the FDS way as much as I do. I'm building a life where I'll be happy by myself and will not tolerate any immature tomfoolery.

I'm lucky the trash took itself out of my life.
