Women are constantly being held responsible for the "survival" of humanity, as if our planet was not about to explode because it cannot feed the 8 billion of us!

The toys we give our daughters are meant to reinforce this belief that a woman's place is by a crib and that this is all of her creation power. But it is NOT! And by not buying into this rhetoric, we are not dooming unicorns to disappear!

Rather than focusing on the fact that a woman supposedly "cannot" conceive past the age of 35 (or whatever the subjective bar is today - sometimes it is 20, sometimes 30 while biology says it all depends on the woman), cannot therefore "create". Let us focus on the fact that IT IS NEVER TOO LATE.

It is never to late to write that book. It is never too late to draw that comic. It is never too late to learn that language. It is never too late to learn playing that instrument.

And instead of "no, you cannot", it is YES, YOU CAN! Yes, you can become your neighborhood's superhero by lending a hand whenever there is need, by helping organize neighborhood events, by volunteering at the homeless shelter, the animal shelter. Yes, you can become your own hero by going for that promotion, by buying that apartment, by visiting that country you dream of.

You will have done more for humanity and yourself with such a mentality.
