I can look back at a relationship I had when I was 23 . The guy was 42. He did every last one of these things. He had been divorced that year and when he met me and claimed I was the most amazing woman he had ever met, he was only a month out of a relationship with another woman in England who was also now pregnant (which he knew). Even as a naïve slightly pick me type, I was highly sceptical but I didn't know enough to get out then. Looking back I can laugh as I place this template over his behaviour but then it was traumatising. After all this lovebombing and false attachment, once I was hooked about eight months in he stopped talking to me and moved on with another woman. We shared a house by this point (at his request) so this was awkward. He asked me to leave so she could move in. He was my boss at work so told me to find another job.

This is an accurate description of narcissists, psychopaths and all other abusive men. I wish I knew about this before I came across one. Ladies, please read this! They all operate in the same manner, it’s like they have a manual or something.

My narc-inclined ex hit 8 of these. He never made negative comments about my appearance (it was actually the opposite, to point where it felt he was using my looks to boost his ego) and he never tried to control my behavior simply because he didn't give a fuck about me.
