I 100% agree with what you’ve said in this post..☝️💁‍♀️..You’re right. Men are SO afraid of ageing and project their own insecurities onto women.

It’s worrying though that lots of young women see those negative posts/social media and are instantly pressured to believe this is how they should be feeling- Insecure and only measuring their worth by how much attention they get from LVM.

I love that women on FDS have a much more healthy mindset and aren’t feeling so pressured by these assholes anymore though.

The most liberating feeling was to be excited about being that old kooky Bruja lady one day...because to me, ideal life is on my terms and I think that shit is awesome.

When I realized how excited I was to get older, wiser and more established, that's when I let go. When you have validation internally and you live for you and not male opinions, that's when you see how vast the world really is.

The women I know irl who let go and thought "eh, it's just a wrinkle" have hobbies, are active in their communities, accomplished, active and strive to be their best selves.

The ones who stressed about it (like my grandmother for example) are often the ones who married and had kids very young and relied entirely on their looks to maintain a marriage; they didn't aim for fulfillment beyond wifely duties. Not shaming those who want that in any way, but it sure took a lot off my stress list when I dropped that internalized thinking.

My teenage years were a nightmare and LVM played no small part in that. I wouldn't relive them if you paid me. I had the time of my life in my late 20s/early 30s, living in another country, feeling far more confident about how I looked and who I was and not having to worry about money for the first time in my life. I was worried about aging when I was younger and yeah, I have a few more wrinkles than I did when I was 21, but almost every other aspect of my life is so much better.

I think young women are encouraged to have tunnel vision on minor aspects of their appearance (which serves the nefarious interests of LVM and the beauty industry) and don't see the bigger picture, which is that the confidence and financial security you gain as you get older really improve your quality of life. What you lose (being constantly harassed by men you would never date anyway) is well worth the swap.

I'm taking a break from dating at the moment as I'm sceptical about the quality of men who would date during a pandemic, but if I wanted to have sex tonight I would have multiple options among men I know - and I'm 40. Don't drink their Koolaid!

A previous boss of mine used to gush about his family and how proud he was and is of them all. He only ever spoke highly of his wife aside from silly shit like she spends too much money on useless crap. Lol.

He once told me that while some may argue that youth brings a lot of physical beauty that he is the most attracted to his wife that he's ever been. Proof that decades of building a beautiful life with a wonderful person means more than the physical appearances. His wife was in her early 70's then.

Dating in my thirties is a breeze compared to dating in my early twenties. I was SO insecure. I used to leave a date wondering if the guy liked me. Now I leave a date, wondering whether I liked THEM.

Older women terrify LVM because they feel confident in themselves, look hot as shit because they've learnt what styles work for them, know what they like sexually and are unafraid to ask for it, and take no bullshit. We're literally their worst nightmare, lol.

Completely agree, most women over 40 say they feel better than in their 20s, no more ridiculous expectations, they seem so wholesome, zen and realized. They radiate quiet but powerful energy of happiness and confidence. They are happy being with themselves and it shows. They don't need a dick nearby to know their self worth. They are not popular on TV because having no insecurities is not profitable.

And it's totally men who are afraid of their age, projecting as always. They are the ones with the Peter Pan syndrome, refusing to mature or act with wisdom. Dressing like teens, eating like teens, acting like teens, chasing after teens, in constant need of a mommy. They are obsessed with woman's age, ignoring his own, poorly and desperately trying to convince everyone that men age like wine.

Personally I can not wait to be older. In my early twenties I hated the idea of aging, but now I'm stocked on it. I think the older a woman gets the more in tune she's becomes with herself. I intend to peak after middle age.

Yeah, I commented on that post about the “women aren’t expected to look 20 forever” nonsense in the title, because of course a 50 year old woman in the entertainment industry will try to look younger, it’s the only way she will be considered valuable and relevant. Her career quite literally depends on being perceived as being young and hot, which is so fucking depressing.

I was wondering why men online are obsessed with women aging. Seems petty and bitchy, aka what they consider female behavior, to me. Men shouldn't be talking bad about women's looks or aging, it's catty af. So it's really because of their own aging and not reaching their goals. Basically, they're obsessed because of the responsibility they have as men to act like men, and when they can't live up to it, they put women down? Thing is, when you read this stuff you'll think it's the whole world, it's just a subset. I mean it's a lot of guys, but i don't even think it's the majority. Same with the red-pill bs, those sites will make you think that it's every man. Also with the preferring much younger women thing. Don't fall in that hole, it's like that but it's not totally like that out there. Every guy i knew who looked older it was because they gained weight. There are a few that look better with some weight on them and actually look weak when slimmer. But most look best at average weight.
