Ditch him. You can do better than this !!! Don’t settle just because you’re afraid of being single this dude sounds crusty.

Girl, no 🤦‍♀️. Don’t play yourself like that. Your concerns are valid and if you’re “paranoid about being single forever” then you’re setting yourself up to settle for someone who is less than what you deserve. I don’t even know you but I know you can do better than a 36 year old with no car! You’re not “driving away” someone who will add value to your life here, I can promise you that.

Uggh. One of my friends who is 50 years old hasn't owned a car in literal years. We can never do anything unless I pick him up and drop him off. Or if it's nearby he takes an uber. He's honestly trash and I never hang out with him anymore. I became exhausted with his poor life decisions and lack of a vehicle. I can not even imagine trying to date one of these guys. I can't even handle just being their friend.

You absolutely should not settle for the sake of not being single. That's how you end up in an unhappy or possibly abusive relationship. It's okay to just be single and do your own thing. I miss having a partner to do things with, especially sex, but I'll be damned if I settle for any man for the sake of simply having one.

If your standards "drive a man away," you're better off. It's honestly better to learn this lesson now than after dating for 20yrs like I have.

He doesn't have a car because he's broke. Bet you anything he used to have one, but couldn't afford to replace it when it died. Men of all ages can be broke bums. Alternate possibility is that he's an alcoholic and lost his license, so he can't legally drive a car.

It sounds like you're approaching dating with a scarcity mindset, and that's a great way to screw yourself over because then you'll tolerate all kinds of crap just to avoid being alone.
