I'd be concerned if someone wanted to be exclusive after two dates.

But it's strange to bring up that he's seeing other women. How many other women? Is he sleeping with any of them?

Also, is he lying to make you try harder? Does he really have integrity or is he going to be "honest" about other things in the future... "I cheated on you but it was just one time?"

Given everything else that's going on in the world, if he's still seeing other people I'd cut him off. Don't put up with weird stuff just because men's integrity is scarce.

LOL, I would've thrown that back in his face. "What do you mean 'made it exclusive'? I agree we aren't there yet! Not sure who was putting ideas in your head!"

That would make him think. Sometimes I think they say this stuff for emotional control. A cool response like that means that he didn't get to you emotionally, and then afterward, you can block him and move on. :)

You have no business being exclusive with someone you’ve only been on 2 dates with. You should be keeping your options open too.

Noooo... it's only two dates. You should be dating others, too. I think it's a good thing that he told you--- as long as his motivation was simply to be honest that he was dating around looking for "the one" vs. warning you that he wouldn't ever be exclusive with anyone. It sounds like it was the former.

My response to this would be to just smile and say, "well, of course! It's too early for exclusivity, we're still getting to know each other." That implies you're dating too, and that you'll expect exclusivity at some point if things progress well.

Be cheerful and unbothered about it. A HVW is confident in herself and her value and isn't worried about competition in the slightest. This kind of confidence really scrambles a guy's brains, because they're not used to it.

You should be dating other people too. You are not exclusive. This sub is basically based on the book "the rules". Pick up a copy and you will get a full indepth guide on how to date.

FDS says to rotational date, so disclosing in and of itself isn’t a red flag. You should be seeing other men too (post Covid). You don’t have to sleep with or be intimate with him or others if you don’t want to.

Honeeeey, I had the experience of someone wanting exclusivity after two dates too. I went along with it because I was just having a good time being relaxed around a male for the first time. I did tell him to relax though. He also told me he was still dating other people but would stop because he confirmed he wanted to just see me. He just wanted to be ‘honest’ with me. Girl, the next day he was crying on the phone to me saying “he can’t do it”. No shit we don’t know each other!

Sis, my advice is cut this guy off now. What you’re going through is waaaay too much. Dump him before he dumps you. Think about the way he is operating right now (with the brain of an assumedly generic male): he has given himself so many options because he doesn’t know what he wants. A lot of men are trained to do and say whatever they can to see what sticks and take what they want from you in that moment or in the near future.

I’d always advise you take caution with guys who must profess they are just being honest about dating multiple people but YOURE the special one. It’s dangerously impulsive. You are special, but I wouldn’t trust a dude who is trying to confirm his commitment to you while still having threads extending to others. You’re not an option but the choice. Don’t be his best option.
