A little off topic, but I am SO sick of people calling healthy romantic relationships "vanilla." It makes me angry that people are trying so hard to normalize abuse and suffering in relationships.

This has the same energy as men calling other men "simps" for doing something nice for their wife/gf or treating women with respect in general.

Imagine a man would say "sex is a service" to a woman in a relationship. Like some duty she must furfill. And sex for women in relationship is work.

I thought the rebuttal would be “many men see sex workers out of loneliness and have perfectly ordinary sex with them.” Or some such. True or not, I thought that would be the argument.

If sex work is work, why isn’t it legal? They would get a W-2 and health benefits, at least here in the states.
