I'm reading the comments in the original post and wow, so depressing. So many women sharing their experience of having to convince their boyfriend to marry them! I feel so bad for them... I wish they would recognize their value and dump these assholes.

She’s going to waste her 20s on this loser. It makes me sad that so many women think a guy has to assault them or something to justify breaking up. She would be completely justified in ending it now because he’s not honoring the conditions they both agreed to (marriage within 1 year).

Don’t move in with a man on the promise of an engagement eventually! Never breaking up is not commitment!! It’s the bare minimum. He already has the exact relationship he wants, why would he propose?

I had a similar thing happen to me. I gave him a deadline, I guess he thought I was joking.

I patiently waited for 1 year. Then the next day after the deadline passed I broke up with him and kicked him out of the flat. He was shocked and could not understand what he did wrong 😂

this is crazy. i’m still lowkey a pickme when it comes to my ex boyfriend who was emotionally abusive (i’m on here to get better and lose my pick me ways though!!!) and literally LAST NIGHT we talked for the first time in 2 months (when i broke up with him because i was done with how he treated me) and this was it.

i’ve always wanted marriage. i’ve always wanted kids. i’d like to be married by 23/24 and have kids by 28/29 (i’m 17 right now). we had been together for almost three years. this upcoming june i was supposed to move to a different state where i know no one and an 500 miles away from my family and friends for him. and he told me last night he doesn’t want to commit. mind yall, he also talked about marriage with me.

i got so mad... why would you stay with me for three years when you knew you dont want to get married??? i made a big fuss about it and he was talking about how “it’s too soon.” i told him we’ve been together for three years and that if we weren’t teenagers, i’d be expecting marriage by now or otherwise i’d leave and stop wasting my time. all he could say was “i know, but we’re kids”

ANYWAY, it’s crazy because i’ve seen a couple posts like this since last night... i think its a sign i need to just go have the HS experience and then find and marry a HVM who has the same values as me
