I was thinking today about how there are no personal downsides to being a prude. It is exclusively considered negative because it's not easy for men to convince you to have sex with them, and you don't hide your discomfort when they make forward comments or gestures.

The word prude is also really similar to the word prudent when means "acting with or showing care and thought for the future". A prude is someone who thinks about how the behaviour that someone is exhibiting will effect them in the long term.
