Hi girls, I need some advice on this guy I’ve been hanging out with. So I met him at a bar a few weeks ago and we really hit it off. We also found out that we were both in the same career field and that we were currently studying for the same exam. So anyways, we met up a few times to study together and grab food. It seems like he really likes me and we’ve made out a bunch of times. However, every time we got food (3 separate times), he won’t pay for me. I mean it’s not like I can’t pay for myself but it would have been nice if he offered a few times, since we’ve been holding hands and texting everyday.

We’ve been talking about having a movie night soon and cuddling at his place but I don’t know, I feel like he’s not putting in any effort. I don’t wanna just ask him like “hey so we haven’t gone on any dates?”. I know we are both busy studying for this exam but I still feel like he could have put in more effort. It’s not like I’m asking him to pay for my rent or anything like that! I’ve dated many guys before and each of them would offer to pay for my food, since it’s a gentleman thing to do. Also, even though “paying for my food” sounds like a petty complaint, it just rubs me wrong, you know.

What do you girls think? What should I do now? Should I talk to him about this? Or just back away? Thanks :)
