Maybe in the past it was safer, but these days, that's a hard no, sis.

You don't want anyone knowing where you live for at least the first few dates. For starters, it gives him ideas. But more importantly, it's a safety thing.

I was seeing a guy and he asked to come see me at home. I told him no, in part because I was starting to collect flags (this was before I learned to cut them off fast) but I also just got a sketchy feeling.

Next thing I knew, he was sending me snaps of my car, my apartment, my living room window. He had found me from the Snapchat Map.

Guys are crazy, even ones that seem nice. Also, disable your snapchat map if you haven't because god damn.

Better be safe than sorry. He can still pick you up when you’ve got to know each other for some time or are in a committed relationship. You can never know who these men are. Of course, most won‘t be dangerous and trying to hurt/kill you but I’d rather not play the odds. You don’t wanna be one of those unlucky girls who end up on the news.

Nope. Meet them there. You need an exit strategy if things are not going well. If they pick you up they control the date narrative never hand that over. Once you know somebody better I think it is fine.

Absolutely not. 1) He has you captive in a moving vehicle. 2)He knows where you live. 3)He's a stranger. Why would you get in a car with a stranger?

Not that long ago a woman on here said a guy she went out with tried to break into her home with a gift card to "surprise" her while she was asleep. It is actually really easy to open a door with a card. That's why deadbolts are so important. I don't have a deadbolt, so I have alarms on both doors. If they get in, me and the whole neighborhood will know about it instantly.

Make sure you feel completely comfortable with a guy before you let him come to your house.

Once you're in his car you can take you wherever the fuck he wants and rape you. That's the facts. I wouldn't even let him come to my door because they can push their way in and then rape you.

Always meet somewhere in public where you're comfortable and have your own transportation.

This is the cliched beginning of a serial killer movie. Take a cab or drive or bus but don’t let this strange man pick you. It’s just a date why is he being so “chivalrous” and it’s the first time. Creeps everywhere. Be careful and tell your friends where you will be.
