My ex would talk about how he thought Instagram girls were shallow and just looking for attention. He said he liked that I was a good girl and didn't post anything risqué. But at the same time he followed multiple soft core porn accounts on Instagram and amateur porn stars 🤮 He would scroll through them infront of me. I tried to play the 'cool girl' back then so I'd just jokingly say 'oh you're always looking at naked photos haha' when I should have said it made me uncomfortable. He also would specifically like the bikini photos on girls feed who he knew. A picture of their dog? No. Tits and ass showing - immediate like. I'm disgusted that I ever saw anything in him.

I like a lot of Shallon’s advice but I take all of it with a grain of salt. Her views on porn, sex work, etc don’t align with this subreddit. Her boyfriend forgot to make proper dinner reservations on Valentine’s Day and instead brought her to a strip club. She thought it was so great, but that relationship eventually ended because he cheated on her.

However, she makes a good point about asking yourself, “other than this one thing, is my relationship perfect?” Because 10/10 times the answer is NO. The men who do this are not HVMs, and there are likely other issues in the relationship.

Some girl on that video commented that if a man is with you and still has to follow all these instagram accounts and like them, that he’s just with you as a placeholder. He’s waiting and hoping for his dreamgirl, that’s why he has to follow all these girls.

Imagine he got a chance to date his favorite dream instagram girl would he still be scrolling other instagram girls right to her face? Nah he’d be preoccupied with the lady he has and try to impress her

He may never be able to attain her in his life so he may end up with a woman he considers a plain jane his whole life, but that won’t stop him from dreaming and waiting for her.

The current top comment kinda proves my point - men will talk about how instagram girls are shallow all day long yet follow them and lust over them all day long too

I actually love shallons advice. Recently dealing with a similar situation myself and her advice has given me the perfect amount of distance and perspective to think clearly.
