Let’s stop building men up, and start dropping them off at the nearest dump where trash belongs 🚮

This is why vetting is so important. A guy that puts you down as a "joke" in the beginning, goes on to makes you doubt yourself, interferes with your goals, sabotages your success, etc. Gotta catch this nonsense early, before it affects you negatively.

A gross scrote I’m not interested in did this to me recently.
I was laughing my ass off because he was trying so hard to “neg” me, but knowing what I know now it’s hilarious to think of men who do this. Instead of improving themselves, they’d rather beat you down their level— which exemplifies what pieces of shit they are.

I don't like this quote. A man that is hurtful to women will always be trash. But a woman that was hurt by a man can learn to avoid making the same mistakes and level up.

That’s true, but I see the quote more as a warning/cautionary tale of what not to do… too many pick me’s in particular out there supporting and lifting up toxic/abusive dudes

True. Women are quite resilient imo. Men with their hurtful actions are just preparing us to know what we want (and more importantly, don’t want)

It's true, but it's temporary and deceiving. With time (without maintanance) the house of cards that was built for that men collapses. Meanwhile, with enough time, that "damage" that women suffer from does heals and turns into a glow up.

The life changes you helped are temporary, they lack the ability to do anything themselves. They want the easy way to do it but they can’t cus they’re fools. You will always come out on top because you want to be better and have integrity. No woman wants some other tired chick’s former build a bear. They expect you to be mommy and look like Barbie. Lol

So true. And it's not just actually building him ( getting him to go to college, save, get a job, hell, wash himself), you'll look like a damn fool trying to justify why you're with him. For many of us on FDS, we live in countries where we can pick our own men. You wouldn't buy a crap taco at a restaurant that failed the health code, why get a man who's crap?
When I went on OLD ( for block and delete practice), I faltered and almost went out with a man I wasn't attracted to.
After finally coming to my senses and blocking him without warning, I really tried to break down the scenario.
If I went out with him and continued to see him I would be justifying to everyone why I'm with a guy who runs a barely functioning business who looks like he put his face in a toaster oven. I'd say this that and the other thing to fluff him up. I thought of the cringy face my daughter would make if she were to meet him. Block.I didn't embarrass myself. Whew. Getting there but I still need to build muscle memory.

Right??!!?! I almost agreed to be the girlfriend of a couple of men recently. Realized that neither were long term material (one was way behind me in life and low effort 50/50, other has ex wife and family drama). The thought of having to explain to my family and friends why I was with them made me stop and realize that just because they liked me didn't mean I was obligated to be in a relationship with them.
Heard a quote when looking for a house recently that will have good resale value. "You want a house that you wouldn't feel embarrassed to invite someone over for a cup of tea". Applies to men too! 🤣

Absolutely. That is the bare minimum.
And you know what? I actually dated man last year I wouldn't have felt ashamed for my daughter to meet. However, I realize now that's the only reason why I was with him. In fact, this entire year I have been working on fixing my low standards which is why I'm practicing on OLD. But boy I need to be careful.

Never help men become better versions of himself. Men are not projects.

This is why we have to build ourselves up. Self first.
