So I was reading up on John Frusciante, guitarist for the Red Hot Chili Peppers. He's honestly a fascinating guy, but there was one thing in particular that I noticed. This guy got married and then divorced from his wife, and was made to pay a huge settlement. Honestly, reading those numbers, it was definitely excessive, but it made me think of "divorce rape" as a concept.

What exactly is it? Is it any time a woman gets something from a man after divorce? Is it a woman getting kids/house? Is it just the concept of divorce lest initiated by their unwashed asses? I'm not saying people don't get screwed over. John Frusciante had to pay 50k+ a month to an already well-off fellow musician, women lose their livelihoods and have to work upwards of three jobs to support families while the fathers do jack shit but how is it "rape"?

Are they just using the concept of sexual assault as a cheap way to increase the impact? Are they saying bad divorces are men's equivalent to getting raped (it's not, men's equivalent of getting raped is getting raped). Are they just trivializing it to piss off feminists?

Sorry if this is jumbled up. I am sleep-deprived and pissed over this concept so I'll try sum it up. What makes a "divorce rape" to these scrotoids? Why use the word rape at all? Does it apply to women who get fucked over in divorces? The wording pisses me off to no end, as both I and my brother were victims of sexual assault relatively close to each other.
