This is in response to both a recent post about a woman who "snooped" on her bf's browser history, and the scrotes and handmaidens who were mad about it.
You absolutely should always spy. This is your life that you're talking about, here. The #1 danger to a woman is the men around her. She absolutely has to use the tools in her arsenal to vet them however she can.
"Snooping is wrong"
Sis, I'm not the US government that's violating someone's rights by looking. If he comes on my WiFi or leaves his phone or PC unlocked by me, I'm absolutely going to look at his internet traffic, for my own protection. I need to know if he's spending on cam girls or looking at snuff films. And you should, too.
I'm not advocating breaking the law or going to extremes to do it (unless you really want to spend that money on a PI & background check for peace of mind). You can find out a lot without much effort, however, because men will leave very personal stuff on the internet, or open around you — but if they don't and are very, very careful to keep everything on lock down, you might want to find out why, or reconsider him.
I understand the women who say not to go to his home or have him over to yours too early, but I'm actually for doing these things in a limited amount and with specific goals and boundaries in mind. When a man invited me over, even on some dumb pretext, I would go, just so that I could see how he was living and what he had at his place, and use that to help decide if I wanted to keep seeing him.
It's not much work to log and look at the traffic on your home router. I do this anyway, to see if anything suspicious is going on with my network traffic. When he's over or if you're living together, look at what he's doing.
You don't have to make this a secret, but if you're really suspicious and want to catch him doing something, then you do need to keep it to yourself. If he catches you looking and has an extreme problem with it, that's a red flag in itself. Putting enough trust in him to respect his privacy is a privilege to earn, and not something that should be expected from day one.
This isn't perfect and he could still be doing something. He could be using cellular data or public WiFi to do illicit stuff while he's out and about, and then erasing his history. Sure, that's less likely, but entirely possible. You still need to verify where you can. Most men don't go to these lengths to hide anything.
You don't have to spend all your time snooping like it's your job, either — it's usually as easy as looking around his place or browser history once in a while. Most of us are creatures of habit and leave obvious evidence of those habits.
Protect yourself. Please. Look at what he's doing.
Edit: I'm laughing at all the men who are messaging me like, "so he aloud to Snoop then" — bro, I commented that I've caught men doing this anyway and am not even mad. There's no "allowed" to it. Assume that he's already doing it, if he can.
Not only that, but there's clear evidence that they're brigading this after the fact — it peaked around 70, and has been slowly going down since then as parasites ask each other to come downvote it.

I'm a firm believer that trust should be earned, not given away.
Trust is earned incrementally by observing a man who behaves consistently and openly without being required to do so.
Only after a confirmation do you let yourself trust some more. That confirmation should be possible without asking and without extensive use of technology.
If you can only confirm your observations through extensive use of technology, then you already have your answer.
Don't bother asking, just leave him.
