OMGGGG THANK YOU FOR THIS POST. Ever since I was a kid I always thought it was so weird being taught the whole ‘other half’ or ‘soulmate’ concept like you aren’t complete on your own and you must have someone else in your life to fulfill your life and bring you happiness.

Even when I was into spirituality, the whole soulmate thing still didn’t resonate with me at all.

Of course this was pretty much only taught to girls which probably made women stay in relationships that didn’t benefit them at all.

And the whole ‘Twin flame’ thing is toxic too and convinces you to stay in toxic relationships that lower your energy while also being required to manipulate yourself into thinking that this bad treatment and behavior is normal since he’s your twin flame and require you to be his free therapist while you’re expected to get your act straight on your own when in reality, you’re just having normal and justified reactions to abuse.

I still can’t believe the amount of posts and comments I read from women describing their toxic twin flame relationship and saying that THEY need to understand and do better whereas men would be describing their incompetent twin flame(Basically not being a complete slave and having a mind and desires of her own) and saying that she needed to do better.

The whole entire other half, soulmate, twin flame, past lover is just a huge scam and it only exists to benefit men. Period.

It's a lot deeper than pop culture, which is almost always true. My understanding, subject to change: there is only one flame, but you and your soulmate are two tiny sparks of one larger flame, something akin to The Force, the source of life, the great beginning, etc. (Somewhat like the cloak of Philosophy in Boetius' Consolatio Philosiphae: everyone has theories; they think their theory is the only real one, but philosophy is unending, and all you've got is a tiny piece of a neverending whole.)

If you've ever met someone and just instantly vibed with them, it's *that* feeling. You're seen, heard, recognized. You are just on each other's wavelength. It's like a conversation was left off in the last life, and you pick right back up in this life.
