A man who has all the sex he wants may be more or less accepted, though it is nonsense to say he will never be criticized. But a man who wants sex and fails too openly is a creep and a harasser, much worse judged than any woman.

Men who are enthusiastic about sex tend to suffer two primary modes of social retaliation:

1) If they are unattractive, they have an increased propensity (compared with the less-sexually-enthusiastic baseline) to be labeled creeps, losers, entitled, etc.

Don't forget that girls don't mind the highly attractive guy hitting on them so they don't see the problems with it. Guys do. I have such a guy in my group and while girls like him guys are a bit careful not to leave him alone with their girlfriends or wives. Same goes for easy going girls, the guys don't mind such company but girls are not happy when they are part of the group.

While guys do state opinions that they wouldn't marry a girl that has a long sexual history it's mainly girls that engage in slut shaming.

The double standard of shaming exist because the double standard of what it takes to get sex also exists.

For men, sex comes as a bit of an accomplishment, both men and women see it as a man overcoming hurdles and communicating the right way in order to navigate the complex social web and get into the woman's pants. For alot of men, it takes a expertise, timing, wit, looks, and a bit of luck in order to get the sex to happen, because the woman is being proposed to from literally all angles. IF you manage to accomplish this on a somewhat regular basis, its cause for praise, because at the very core, youre over coming an obstacle.

For the purposes of just sex, women don't have that issue. Its a bit of privilage theory. If a poor man works 2 jobs to save up and buy a car, its an impressive feat, but if a rich man does it, it isnt worth thinking about, and if becomes proud about, it is almost insulting because there was no actual effort applied. Women have their own issues regarding choosing partners for sex, and maybe the particular guy they want to sleep with isnt having it. However if its just for the purpose of sex, they can literally go to a bar and wait. Or if all else fails approach a guy. The effort starts and them deciding to go out, and ends literally the moment they walk in the bar,
