It's always so annoying when you mention that men are also victims of violence and also get raped, sexually harassed/assaulted, etc. and that's there also women who do these things to men and boys, and yet feminists always go on with their usual "But statistically men do this much more to women and women are more afraid of being alone at night." And then they have the nerve to accuse you of trying to silence women or marginalize their trauma when that's exactly what they're doing to male victims!
I hate how they not only do everything they can to downplay and marginalize the fact men are also victims and that women also commit the same offenses, but make everything into a contest of victimhood. It's just like white supremacists with their black on black crime BS and how they're willfully ignorant to the fact many terrible white people also exist, and yet they still want to only focus on bad non-white people. Feminists always like to cite statistics as evidence of a so-called epideminc of male on female violence, but fail to understand that the statistics are much too vague and general, and don't take into account the (much higher than believed) number of male victims due to there being so few abuse shelters and healthcare clinics for men and female on male violence still counted as MOF under the Violence Against Women Act. Not to mention how many male victims of FOM crimes are still afraid to come forward out of fear of not being believed or their aggressor being believed over them and warping the crime around to make it seem like she's the victim (Amber Heard, anyone?).
Enough with the whole "this group is more affected" or "this group does this to that group more" more BS. All forms of violence are equally bad in my book regardless of the genders of the perpetraitors and victims. Whether it's MOF or FOM, all equally bad in my book. Violence, domestic abuse, sexual harassment/assault, rape, etc. happens to both men and women and is committed by both men and women. FOM instances are so much higher than reported or believed, and are comparable to MOF. Even if one group experiences it slightly more, it doesn't invalidate the fact others also are victimized and that's precisely what feminists like doing. They're basically saying men don't matter and it's only women we should be concerned about, which is blatantly sexist.
Men are more likely to contact COVID-19 and die from it, but women are still vulnerable and many women have gotten it and unfortunately died along with men. None of us are going around saying "But COVID-19 affects men more and women being affected are a minority." Which is basically what feminists say in a nutshell about male victims. Things like violence never are and never will be a gendered issue, it's a people issue. Violence and crime have no gender and neither does justice.
