It undeniably is real, just as real and harmful as misogyny. But while misogyny is rightfully called out and condemned, misandry is either treated as a joke, is massively downplayed and trivialized or outright denied. Seeing people deny misandry's existence, treat it as a joke, say it's nowhere near as common or harmful as misogyny, etc. all completely false. It's acceptable for men and even boys to be hated on and even have harm wished upon them (with things like #KillAllMen and let's not forget the infamous T-shirt that says "Boys are stupid, throw rocks at them"). Misandry is why men still have to register for the draft and can get drafted to fight and die in wars they don't believe in, misandry is why due process is denied for potentially falsely accused men and boys, misandry is a big reason boys do terribly in schools and drop out. Misandry is also an enormous reason as to why any sort of female on male crimes including violence, murder, abuse, rape, sexual harassment/assault, trafficking, etc. is massively downplayed and trivialized and is incredibly underreported. You bring up female on male violence and you get the inevitable rebuttals of it's like saying "all lives matter" or that it's nowhere near the scale as the other way around or to stop silencing women. Which is exactly like how misandrists deflect from the issue and try to cover it up and how it's so difficult for male victims to get any sort of aid. The "women and children" narrative that's always excluded men and you know when referring to children it's really referring to girls. Speaking of, already with the situation in Israel there's a lot of the "women and children" rhetoric going around but as usual, nothing about the men who are also being maimed and killed.
Just among numerous other examples of misandry being real. To say nothing of blatantly discriminatory things like the infamous Gillette ad, the "educate your son" meme, the lack of campaigns to raise awareness about violence against men and end it just as much as VAW, anti-male sexism never mentioned, corrupt organizations like MeToo almost never acknowledging male victims and female offenders, abuse shelters often turning away male victims, etc. and of course how the education and legal systems are horribly biased against men and boys. The list goes on and on. But just like people who deny the Earth is round, misandrists will deny misandry being real even when so much evidence is right in front of their faces and they see it's effects. There's virtually an entire galaxy worth of evidence proving it's real and serious and has very detrimental and harmful effects, yet they deny it to the bitter end or treat it as a joke. It's incredibly infuriating and frustrating to see it being denied or not taken seriously. Misandrists are just like Flat Earthers. In denial about their own delusions.
One has the right to their own beliefs and opinions, but not their own facts. It's an undeniable and undisputable fact that misandry is real. It's not only real, but it's even more pervasive and rampant than many are aware of and is downright malignant. It's long overdue for misandry to be acknowledged as being real and serious, and to be taken just as seriously as misogyny and have action taken against it. Both exist, both are harmful, both are unacceptable and both should be equally condemned and reviled.
