I think they were banned due to their terf views. Because that is what the gendercritical sub was banned for. As long as male subreddits don't start spewing anti-trans content we should be fine.

And as far as I know men's rights never really have any beef with trans rights, as the only anti-trans sentiment comes from trans women entering female spaces. Which is a product of misandry as it comes from the belief that anyone who was born with male genetalia is inherently violent sexual predators. So terf views are diametrically opposed to men's rights.

They will use it as a shield to ban this sub and men's rights.

At least it's private. The only time I commented there, suggesting that women's magazines and social media were really the ones who made women insecure, not men, and that men suffer from social media as well, I was downvoted heavily.

The fact that a lot of fashion "ambassadors" are women, and female influencers are the ones who give advice on how to look great and compete, didn't matter.

Mentioning the stats about online dating, and how men have average standards vs. women who have inflated ones, was also met with hostility. I don't remember what weird insults came. But I just stopped commenting there, it was too toxic, and I had lost enough "karma" already, trying to politely disagree.

Had my hopes up briefly that perhaps this site was taking a step in the right direction to clean out some of the hate against men.

Quite frankly it'd be great if they banned more subreddits. If they take an even heavier hand to moderation, more people will leave and hopefully other alternative places to go will be created and developed. Reddit can fester and be left to be the hateful echo chamber it clearly wants to be.
