It saddens me to see so many young men raised to have no self esteem, or base so much of their own self worth on their success with women.

Simping is the emotional equivalence of men going to a prostitute for sex. They are begging for attention.

Hey, if a hot girl can extract money from lonely men, go for it.

What pisses me off is the narrative that any man that dates a younger woman, he's a disgusting pig that manipulated her and she can't possibly be held responsible for her choices. When the reality is more likely that she has used her youth and manipulated him into giving her his resources.

On one hand, if people are willing to be ripped off for a scam... Too bad for them.

Collective responsibility should have a role to prevent, control and stop the phenomenon instead of the average, individualistic prevailing narratives in Western societies.

When people don't even know why men are lonely, they'll naturally tend to blame it on them as individuals instead of pondering systemic factors that give them external value (like social status) in a hierarchy.

In short, simping is a symptom, and its cause is not out of merely weak individual choices we should ignore as if they didn't affect the collective as a whole. Keeping that focus will result in further denial and failure, just like it does for most social issues that are answered from an individualistic ideology.

Of all the words in the English language, simp is the only that truly offends me. It feels like a personal attack on people like myself who want affection but can't seem to get it. Actually, it's pretty much the same situation as the term nice guy. What's wrong with being nice? Are you supposed to find love by being mean?
