Here's what I commented: You mean using tax payer dollars to help you raise the child. While getting the courts to make the father pay child support. Let's not forget the tax write offs she's going to get for having a kid (3k per kid). Women don't pay net taxes either.

Sounds like she wanted the baby. The pill practically makes you immune to pregnancy, but they can't say 100%. They say 99% instead. The only real way for her to get pregnant on the pill is for her to be flaky with taking it.

Here is another 2 common scams to watch out for.

First one is a typical Asian scam, but I guess could happen anywhere where there is sex tourism.

The mark meets a girl, she builds up some relationship with him (not much over a few days), just enough report to feel him out. She then gets him drunk and provokes him into unprotected sex, or makes it up. Then she acts all concerned and asks him for money for a pregnancy kit. She however has a duplicate kit, already used and positive. They just get a pregnant friend to piss on it, even a pregnant stranger would do it. Even if the mark is clever and buys it himself. They'll pick a store that only sell one kind, so the duplicate won't be spotted. Then comes the scam, the mark gives money for an abortion (since he's such a caring guy). Could also be she plays him for money because she can't work etc.

Second one is one to really watch out for. It can happen in middle class circles, or when fucking married women or au pairs, or someone who is temporarily cash strapped. Here the bitch has either had an affair or is riding the CC. She gets pregnant, legitimately pregnant. Up until now she's just been your friend. Hell you might not even be that attracted to her. But soon she sets something up with you, and next thing you're fucking, quite unexpectedly. At this point she practically begs you to come inside her. Telling you she's on the pill. Since you're friends, when she tells you she's missed her period, again you'll be expected to buy or contribute to the test kit, only now it will be legitimately red. She'll try to act all surprised. If she's married "Oh no, Husband can't find out". If she's an aupair "Shit I can't afford this". So you'll be paying for the abortion, and while they're not crazy expensive, you'll think you got off light. Meantime that wasn't your child. You also accompanied her to the clinic and provided emotional support during and afterwards.

Be extremely careful to both these scams.

So, the bf in the linked story made it clear he didn't want kids. Gf wants unprotected sex. She happens to make a video stating condoms aren't 100% effective, and would indeed get an abortion if she became pregnant due to her request for no condoms. Lo and behold! Preggo. She hopes they can stay together though!

Related family story: I have an aunt who was dating a well to do guy. He didn't want kids. Made it abundantly clear he didn't want kids. He wanted the freedom to travel the world, and do as he wanted when he wanted. My aunt was invited to be part of that for as long as that would last--but no kids (and to a lesser extent, likely no marriage). My other aunt convinced this one to stop taking birth control to trap him. First aunt got pregnant. He saw the trap and left her.

I'm not usually on they AWALT train. I just hate when people use people. That's a disgusting thing to do. It's even worse when someone uses (or creates) little people to use against others. That's next level wickedness.
