Internet dating has given rise to women with an inflated ego. Here's why:
The top 10% of men are sleeping with the top 90% of women through Tinder.
Now, women can be picky, because even the most attractive men will sleep with any woman who's above average. These women come to believe that they're more attractive than they are, because they can bag a gorgeous man. We end up with women who have a massively inflated ego and men who have a much higher suicide rate.
I'm not a man going his own way, I'm in a happy relationship with a woman who is actually different, but that's not to say I didn't have to wade through a bunch of shit to get here. I can't imagine how difficult dating would be for less attractive men.

This definitely plays a part, yes. I don't think it plays a huge part though.
Most girls my age don't go for older guys and think they're creepy, and there's some guys who are into milfs. It's not like older women don't date at all - some like toyboys. But you're right. Women find it easy to date in early life, men find it easier to date in later life.
I think that the biggest factor is the massive amounts of men who put women on a pedestal. They act like women are doing them a favour by sleeping with them. Men have deflated self worth, women have inflated self worth. The result is the current state of online dating.
Also, like I said, the fact that fewer very promiscuous men sleep with a large amount of women. The statistic I mentioned is across the board on tinder. These 9/10+ men sleep with 6/10+ women in vast numbers, as if it's a game to them.
I am lucky enough to be blessed with decent genes, but I still didn't get many matches on tinder.
My perspective is that these kind of apps are fucked up.
