You aren't missing a damn thing. It was easier for me growing up. The early to mid 90's were a golden age in a lot of ways. Girls were still not completely brainwashed into being perma victims that could never be happy. They still had issues naturally, but they were more apt to have realistic standards.

Around 15 years ago I noticed a severe increase in the amount of girls with unrealistic expectations. As social media came on the scene... More and more of them got overwhelmed with options. So afraid of missing something better they could never be content with what they had.

Around 5 years ago it turned into a twilight zone-esq bizzaro world. Girls comes out of the woodwork now wanting to fuck me but nothing else. Love is all but extinct. Stimulation. Constant stimulation is what they've become addicted to.

I've always had serious trust issues, so I always avoid actually labeling a relationship as serious.

Even before reading all the redpill stuff about women, I never trusted them, I always knew what relationships were all about, just never formulated well enough like it is formulated in the manosphere.

The funny thing is that I almost got married some years ago. A couple of days before the wedding she asked me if she could invite an ex-boyfriend, like a high school ex-bf, to our wedding. I'm a 36 years old man that have never being in a relationship or anything close to it. All my attempts failed because I'm ugly and used the nice guy strategies in the worst possible ways.

I found the red pill and MGTOW about a year ago and it helped me a lot but I think that is already too late for me to try anything and I just want to live the best way possible under my current situation and try to improve myself and my life one step at the time.

You know it's funny. I used to get oneitis really bad. Went through some really rough times. Like really bad. I used to say society has a way of breaking down a man so that he hardens himself against oneitis and the world. I will never care for another human being so deeply and completely as I did for a few of my very first girlfriends. I'm ok with this now because I've seen that it's not society that breaks someone down like that. Instead it's just shitty women. They try to make themselves pretty and wholesome on the outside but inside they were train wreck.

But I think every man needs to go through what I did to an extent. You have to learn to defend and protect yourself from these people. I think that's why I see so many people here saying they need to find mgtow on their own.

I used to be a "serial dater," I guess you could say. Never been one to sleep around, but I've had my share of ONSs (hashtag college). First kiss was in elementary by a childhood crush, lost my virginity in 10th grade of high school. Throughout high school (went to an all boys school) I dated a bunch of girls. Some were great, some weren't, but I utilized Facebook and was very successful.

I always got bored of the person after the honeymoon phase. I'm very independent and managed to always land Stage5ers which, after three months, made me want to off myself, so I'd end the relationship. By my senior year of high school I had been dating an old childhood acquaintance and cut it off before I left for college. She was a year older than me and already finished her first year, but I was going to be a freshman, and I wasn't going to college tied down to a LDR.

Something in college changed for me. I don't really know what it was, but I pretty much stopped dating and started to become fairly unhappy with the way women were in society (about 2011-2012) and the fairy tale that each one of them thought life was. I started sleeping around when the opportunity arised, and at this point in my life I will agree with what one poster said already - "You aren't missing a damn thing." The honeymoon period is always fun, but after that it becomes nothing but a headache to continue to pursue relationships. You're told you have to make sacrifices, but your partner typically doesn't. You're told you're supposed to hold doors, pay for dates, drive, plan, be present to listen to her struggles, etc., but you rarely receive the same treatment. Relationships are very one sided, cost a lot of money, are stressful, mentally draining, and men are just better off focusing on themselves and letting women realize that they made their beds a long time ago, and for the first time in their lives, they're going to have to live with the consequences.

MGTOW virgin here—24—and never had one. I sometimes wonder about how that would be like...whether it'd be an amazing experience or just some other insipid way to live with someone which everyone who is living it struggles to glorify the "beauty" of it.

I'd be honest to admit I do sometimes crave the feeling of sharing some romantic relationship with a woman. However I do also sometimes make the mistake of idealizing and having pure fantasies of romance moments with girls I accidentally had crushes on: whether sometime in the past or at a recent time. I refer to that as a "mistake" because it makes me sometimes feel too much reverence for the actual experience of it (which I've never had) or even women, who make this experience possible.

I guess that this state of complete inexperience with women/ girls is largely due to a few reasons: extreme social anxiety (totally towards women); shyness (again, towards women); never approaching or asking women/ girls out; and a complete dislike and disinterest in them. I won't describe myself as ugly, for I'd at least be a 7—and can push close to 8 or 8 if I groom myself well; I say this not to flatter myself or exaggerate my looks (I'm LEAST interested in that—I have NO respect for my looks) but to just present a rough picture of myself as others (guys, girls) have painted. There's only one minor "problem" I have, and it is that I'm short (5'.4"); however, I do not see that as much of a problem as my issue of pennilessness.

I also noticed that my temperament is fundamentally incompatible with the nature of women (not to signal self-righteousness here). I'm intellectually-inclined and a truth and wisdom lover (so now you get what I mean by "temperamentally incompatible with women"); I love to criticize (constructively) and be criticized—due to which I love to argue or debate.

I don't hate women—at all!—and in fact love them; it's just that I can't find how to get along with them, whether in a LTR or LTF (long term friendship). In fact I have helped girls/ women before, in different ways, and with an absolutely selfless will and intent. Every girl I ever had friendship with "saw me in a different way" because my intents about whatever I did for them was innocent and not motivated by some ulterior agenda, say, to sleep with them or to take advantage of them or cheat them (which I could easily do if I decided). I NEVER demanded or even just kindly asked a girl/ woman to have sex with me; I don't even have the "courage" to do that or to even try.

I always mostly hang around my male friends. But it is sad that guys allow girls/ women to influence and affect them to a much higher degree. They lose their 'loyalty" towards you in the face of some superficial kind of "love" (woman) and would place less value, and less respect on your friendship with them because of their relationship with some girl/ woman. When they "find" a girl they are interested in and start a relationship with her, it'd be ~~almost~~ as if they'd completely forgotten about you—and would start to distance their self from you, never wanting to be close anymore. I've lost interest in ALL people, actually.
