The 4th highest post, by U/Lambo_Moonski, also agrees that he was a moron for doing this. And there are a multitude of replies to those posts that agree with them, all of which have high numbers of upvotes. I see no post whatsoever claiming that he was in the right. The closest we have to that is the second highest upvoted comment, by U/pwnzusauce, that commented on how she most likely made a much bigger deal of this story because she was on camera (which is most likely true), but he still does not directly condone the runner's behaviour.
The fact that the runner was a moron is not an unpopular opinion. It's the general consensus.

Not true. He's being charged with sexual battery in Georgia, which is a misdemeanor. For a first offense, you can get up to one year in jail but do NOT get registered as a sex offender. You only get on the sex offender registry for multiple/repeat sexual battery offenses.
