Shit, I did some siiiimpy ass shit when I was in the army. I'd slap myself in the face if I could go back in time. Was dating a broad (also military) who was in the process of divorce, and still technically married. My stupid ass was hitting it raw for months. I couldn't imagine where I'd be if I would have knocked her up or stayed with her. Thank God I got out before anything happened.

Advise him to finish his contract, and get the hell out of the military if he wants a stable relationship. Dating someone in the military might as well be psychological suicide. The women literally have hundreds of options, not including social media.

Whatever it is you want in life, good friends, stable relationship or a great work camaraderie - don't expect others to give you those things. You set the limits, the boundaries and the conditions for all your relationships in life. Another way to think about it as someone else commented, aside from the mantra that women do not love like men (which is biologically true), would you cheat on her and impregnate another woman? How does that make you feel even thinking about it? Because she doesn't feel those same feelings or else she wouldn't have done it.

On a side note, inviting your family to the baby shower shows that she probably has enough knowledge and reasoning to pick your family over the baby daddy's, as in your family are probably going to be better support and financial aid/status.
