The only way you are going to stop thirsty men from chasing is either a) kill all unmarried men after a certain age or b) make marriage serious and people are forced to have a single partner or else face severe consequences.

Men need validation as well. Many men only identify by two things: what they do for a living and how many women they can get. I know of two guys in their late 30s who are on a pussy hunt 24/7. Yeah it's an endless cycle that can probably only be broken with sex dolls reaching high realism, to completely replace women. These dolls will be either too expensive, though, or just downright forbidden when countries realize that people don't want to start families anymore and child birthrates are extremely low. But I'd also guess that if humanity continues to go down the current path of gynocentric society, then even the simps will stop "simping" out of fear of having their lives ruined by one unhappy slut.

The effects of mgtow would increase exponentially if at least half of the male population were on the same page in this regard. men would be on the A side of negotiations for once. Instead you have these simps whispering into some guys girlfriend "you deserve better" and "a girl like you deserves...". Without these weak guys bellying up females would probably go insane from a lack of attention and "emotional support". The amount of women scrambling to get a bunch of animals to keep them from being lonely proves mgtow is already working though. As mgtow spreads the effects will not just grow steadily, the effects will multiply as they will have fewer options for a man other than one that respects himself and is immune to female manipulation.
