I was at the grocery store last weekend and watched a welfare mom walk in with 5-6 kids. It was so many that she couldn't control the crowd. When she checked out she bought like $100 worth of ice cream, soda, and potato chips. Turns out she was hosting a huge tax payer funded superbowl party.

If you are someone that lost their job and need some assistance to get over the hard times? Sure, just try to get a new job within a year.

You are someone that is constantly leeching off of the Government? You got one year to get your shit straight or all the support will be cut.

I am quite aware that many innocents (Children) would suffer with that, but there's a time where we have to face reality and take the children away from those kind of parents and put them in foster care / orphanages.

As it stands right now, you are basically encouraged to get many babies and have Daddy Government take care of you until they are adults.

Edit: I know this wouldn't be the perfect solution, but it's really getting tiresome to pay taxes to leeches that don't contribute to society and never will.

I don't remember the exact TRP post, but a few years ago someone well versed in finance broke down exactly how disadvantageous it is to better yourself unless you can escape a certain zone or tax bracket, and even if you do earn more money than that bracket, you should stop working short of the transition into the next tax bracket to save yourself thousands of dollars.

Working is slowly becoming a less viable means of survival than having a vagina and a will to lie to the government.

TL;DR, here's the important part...

"You've completed your tax return only to realize that you owe the IRS $1,000—your withholding or estimated tax payments weren't enough to cover your entire tax liability for the year. Then you realize that you're eligible for a certain $2,000 tax credit that you didn't claim. You roll up your shirt sleeves and redo your tax return to take it.

If that credit is refundable, it will eliminate the $1,000 you owe the IRS and the IRS will send you the balance. You'll receive $1,000 even though you didn't pay this money in through withholding from your wages or estimated payments.

If the credit is nonrefundable, you'll erase your $1,000 tax debt—you won't owe the IRS anything— but the $1,000 essentially evaporates."

Get rid of the "refundable" part of tax credits. Once a tax credit zeroes out your remaining tax liability, you're done. If you owe $100 and your tax credit is for $101, no you do not nor should not get that dollar. You didn't pay it in the first place.

When I was married my ex wife used to bitch that I kept the tax return every year. I paid all the bills and my income was probably 4-5 times hers.
We get divorced and I imagine the thought going through her head "finally I get my own tax return." Surprise!! Remember all that alimony you said you needed, well you gotta pay taxes on all that!! Must have been a sad day when she did her taxes and was hit with a $4-5,000 bill from the IRS.
Sadly, this silver lining of divorce rape has been discontinued, but not before my last alimony payment was made. Thank daddy Trump.

This is why I don't feel bad about dodging taxes whenever possible. Here's our govt budget

27%- SS (free money for old people who were too lazy to save and invest)

23%- Medicare/medicaid (free healthcare for old people who were too lazy to save and invest, and free healthcare for people too lazy to work)

10%- Welfare, food stamps, housing benefits, etc (free money for people too lazy to work)

18%- Military (spending on a big war to send thousands of guys to go die in a desert for nothing. Also, paying for our guys to be cops for the world and get nothing in return)

3%- education, which is specifically the state's job under the constitution, not the feds

8%- interest on debt (sending $ to the (((big bankers))) in exchange them printing more fiat money)

4%- handouts to farmers (we'll pay you to not grow soybeans and not raise hogs. Here's some free money for growing the crops we tell you to)

3%- transportation, which is also specifically the state's job under the constitution

2%- Foreign aid (free money to shithole countries, enabling them to make their people dependent on welfare too)

2% everything else which is actually the government's job. Environmental protection, Science research, NASA, etc

I don't make much money, but I haven't received a refund in almost 20 years. It burns my ass that I have to write a check to the IRS every year, and some of my co-workers are getting 10% to 30%+ of their annual income as tax refunds, just because they have kids.

Where does that money go? Not for bills or paying for things for their children. One of my co-workers has already started looking for a boat for when he gets his refund. I'm here, hoping I can pay my electric bill after the Polar Vortex we just had.

Realistically you should get as close to a 0 refund as possible. Surprised no one had said it yet.

Don't give the government interest-free money, put it in a savings or investment yourself and make it work for you. If you're getting money back, bump your exemptions up by one.
