It's a bs story. Legal system doesn't work like that. You can't hold back evidence at the last possible minute, then suddenly lurch it in without a discovery process, that's a myth perpetuated by Hollywood movies.

Yes and no although it is technically not legal to hold back evidence. Evidence that could exonerate you is many times held back in court by prosecutors. Their job is go get a conviction and will often held back evidence that could be damaging to their case.
Evidence and discovery is something filed by your side to get all the evidence the state has against you, I have never heard of it being used in reverse. The fact your being charged means the state in theory should have enough evidence against you to charge and convict, legally you are supposed to have access to that information. They on the other hand have no right to know about the defense you plan to present.
Now some judges are by the book judges but other judges are just along for the ride. Some judge with extraordinary evidence could allow it presented but the defense would have to show it to the prosecution first and if the judge allows it it could be presented. That would all have to be before both sides rest and before the jury deliberates.
If that evidence showed up after the jury verdict he would have to try to fight on appeal but that's more of a losing uphill battle in most cases.

Honestly I have trouble believing 90% of the successful revenge stories on this page. This one is especially unbelievable but still a decent story I guess.
Some of the guys here will still have a fun time circle jerking about it which is the only problem with this subreddit IMO. The willingness to throw all logic out the window and get all hot and bothered over fictional justice porn like this.

Was going to post about that. Didn't seem to spend the night waiting for a bail hearing. Nothing about how his life was destroyed by the people who believed he actually raped her. Nothing about losing a job or being kicked out of school because of the false allegations. The judge can't drop charges on her, she has to be charged by police for what she did (a whole separate incident).

I don't believe this. Criminal cases have "discovery"; you have to have all your evidence ready to go before trial, so the prosecution can see what you have and build their case and you see what the prosecution has and build your case.
The ONLY time they allow late admissions is when the evidence didn't exist prior... like a new witness shows up, or a murder weapon is found, etc. Since he already had this from the start, the judge would not allow it. At best he could try to introduce it and get an appeal.
It is a great story, even though it is fake.
