It turns out that the Gini index for males is 0.542—a high level of inequality. A small number of men hold most of the attractiveness assets. For women, in the eyes of men, the attractiveness assets were much more evenly spread—a Gini index of just 0.376. Grim confirmation: A much smaller number of men are considered eligible by women than is the case for women as viewed by men. In other words, when they’ve finished college, it’s women who may need to go to Jupiter to find a decent partner.

There's basic evolutionary and biological reasons for this.

The growing gap in higher education is cause for concern, and in my own personal experience it comes from a bias in teaching in lower education particularly, imo. The teachers are largely female, and I have read at least more than one study showing that when grading boys vs girls they bias towards women.

But the growing gap in dating has probably has to do with many factors, of which lower educated and poorer paid men is one of them. (Women below their 30s out earn men below their 30s in the US).

And now they're bitching that they can't find the super wealthy men. If she were a waitress, she would be perfectly happy dating a dude who makes 60K per year. So why the fuck can't she do that if she's a wealthy lawyer? He could be an electrician making 70 or 80K per year and be a great guy. That's good and honest work.
