"Pretty near dream marriage". Except for the nagging.

A few things to note. Funny how she complained about his job being very easy but not about the money he brings in. Probably not a fortune but it seems decent enough. Plus he's probably very efficient and effective. I actually wonder exactly what's his job.

The other things to note. She's basically living the dream of every feminist, having a career and letting hubby take care of the house and kids. Yet that's not enough because now that the gender roles have been reversed, she's now whining about it. Not man enough for her. I guess she makes more than him, and instead of empowering her, it's now making her resentful because he doesn't have the balls to take care of her. How dare he work less than she does? Not to mention he sounds like he's really good at being a househubby.

The icing on the cake is that comment with the downvotes. Talk about preserving gender roles.

I Know a guy in this same boat!! he is a customer of mine at work..He inherited over a
couple thousand acres, and a few convenience stores... So, he literally spends his days hanging out at one of his stores, bulshitting with his buddies. His son does the actual legwork of running the stores, and says the only reason he even comes to work, is his wife gets pissed off at the idea of him hanging around the house. He leases out the land for cattle, and has a couple of gas wells on it as well...so the dude is loaded to the gills, and his wife is an assistant District attorney(she works her ass off). On occasions when he is not around, I know from his buddies/employees..the wife is a real piece of work. One humorous moment I recall, was once he (inside the convenience store)...had a couple of firearms broken down, and was cleaning them..in come the cops...who then spent the next hour drinking coffee with him, debate the merits of the guns...lol. But yeah, his wife is a good earner, but clearly resents his ease of life.

I'm retired and let me tell you this, every relationship including my marriage I tell women if you don't like all my free time then fuck off. I got shit I want to do, I make enough money, and if that bothers you find another dude. Its really that simple. Stand up for yourselves men.

Also its ok to be empathetic to his wife's stressful job and be caring towards that. However when she tried to turn it back on him thats when you have to stand your ground.

Side note.

Working from, job will eventually phase out jobs like his.

Since hes not in the office "looking busy" all day, they will eventually notice his job only takes 1 hour a week to do. And hand it off to someone else, and give them a 1 dollar raise.

I'm self employed and I work a few hours a week from my phone, earn well within 6 figures and the women around me (mom, sister, cousins, etc...) hate me for it. Tho I did work hard for many years to get where I am now, there was a time when I worked 9 to 12h per day and 7 days a week and I was in call 24/7, but they like to conveniently forget that part. Now that I have a stable and reliable customer base I can just give the what they need with a few calls, I don't really need to work anymore. I have heard the women around me call me lazy, entitled and other fancy names, they can't process the fact that I deserve to be where I am now because I worked for it. When they ask me how work is going I tell them it's going great and that's it, I don't have much else to say. To them, a man is a beast of burden and should not have time for himself, human doing not human being.

Yet another example of the many reasons why men should not marry. They can't even be content with the fact their husband earns money even by doing very little. He's even doing what a decent role model of a father is suppose to when he's got free time outside of his work. Helping with the chores around the home, spending quality time with their children so they have someone to look up to as an example of how to behave in life when they're adults and i'd imagine a whole host of other shit that he's not even mentioning like fixing anything around the house, keeping the vehicles maintained properly, etc. It's not his responsibility that his wife took a job that is more demanding. The same as it would not be her responsibility if he took a job that was just as demanding. This is the shit women wanted with their cry for equality. Well, they got just that and now all they can do is exactly what they were doing before then, bitching.

Few years ago, I had a woman living with me, that made statements like that. You have it so easy, you do nothing all day. I reminded her, I have 20 years experience, and I know how to do my sh*t. Eventually, I honestly do not recall how the idea happen, I gave her some easy 5 minute tickets, and links on YouTube how to do it.

She gave up, its too technical. The math was too hard. I told her she can go to school for 4 years, and spent 15 more, doing similar tasks. Thats how long it takes.

I have most simple tasks automated in a bash script. My job is really creating automatic scripts, however I tell no one that everything I do is nearly automated.

I went through this with my ex too. I'm a pro musician and tend to really only "work" weekends and an odd mid-week gig. She had an office job and had to be there 40 hour a week. Even though I would often make more than her in 2 nights I was lazy because I wasn't at the office getting yelled at like she was. She hated that I had a lot more free time than she did. Life's all about choices...

I wouldn't feel secure in this guy's position. I had several coworkers who spent nearly the entire day on Facebook, texting, etc., and that went fine for them for a couple years. But then the company fell on hard times, and guess who were the first people to get laid off?

And what's worse, since they spent all that time doing nothing instead of developing skills that look good on a resume, it must make it extra hard to find another job.

This guy's wife might be worried that he's digging himself into a hole like that.
