The PUA lifestyle / mentality is one of the most dangerous mind-states to have. I'm so happy I got off that shit. The results were cool, but i was out there lifting to increase my odds, reading books, and simply Not Being Myself ... all for poon and relationships.

Nothing that you do should ever be to impress / improve your chances with a woman.

The sad part is that women are so overly glorified in society that men are practically brainwashed. Any young man who hops on a dating app will especially see this.

But they'll find their way. It usually only takes them 1 girlfriend / 1 dating phase for them to realize that relationships are just an elaborate shit test and a joke to women. They literally talk to their friends to find ways that they can sabotage their relationship ... but they mask it as "trying to see if he loves me". if you aren't a top 10% male, are you VERY REPLACEABLE to the 'average' woman. That's just facts. Sure, you may be funny, smart, cool, socialable, fit ... but you aren't the funiiest, or smartest, or coolest, or fittest. The bird you are dating can very easily fuck the funniest, fittest, or coolest guy in your area, even as a 5/10 single mom.

Every single girlfriend of every single member here, could have 'upgraded' at any point in their relationship, very very quickly. And by upgraded, casual sex is included as well.

so whats the point? Why be a placeholder?

I ride a bike for commuting and short trips. I have a pretty physical job. I like hiking and snowboarding, swimming, playing ball sports. I'm in decent shape for my age because i like all these activities. Not because i have to "Work out". I will do some core and leg exercises at home in the month before snowboarding because they will make my trip more enjoyable and prevent injury. But I think i'ld have a hard time motivating myself to "work out" otherwhise.

Hell yeah. Most gyms have become hook up points rn. So i think its better that men work out either in early morning or evening, when no women are there.

I wish there would be gyms where women are not allowed. But that is how most gyms also earn more i.e. becoming a hookup point nowadays.

Any reason to better yourself is a good reason. Some people care so little about themselves they can’t, but the biological need for companionship is strong enough to get them to work out and that’s ok.

When i went to the gym red pilled i still looked at the nicer women. Especially when lifting the bigger plates. Why not? I'm still hetero, and if they are fit, well great view. I was a fat kid for the longest time (am 22 years old rn, was always fat until 17). Thanks to 1., I limited becoming even fatter. I realized that having just this extrinsic motivation wouldn't keep me motivated to going to the gym daily. And it didn't: I went from fat to skinny fat with some slight muscle definition but then I completely stopped exercising for a very long time due to my old shitty mindset. Last year I had a huge epiphany about the importance of staying in shape for myself and about all benefits attached to exercising regularly aside from looking good. Went to 3 with genuinely enjoying exercise for its own sake instead of seeing it as a terrible burden. Just before I went to 3, I became an MGTOW before even knowing that this existed (I thought that MGTOW = group of incels).

Two days ago, I stumbled upon something about MGTOW and decided to read a bit about it and to check this subreddit. I'm really happy that my thoughts aren't weird and that this is more common than I thought. Would be great if MGTOW were something that is being perceived as normal as men desperate looking for women.
