From a woman's POV, being married is like being a trust fund brat, who can't unlock her money held in 'trust' (marriage) until the maturity date (divorce). The lifestyle is lived, but she doesn't actually own the money until the divorce.

Why would any woman stay married to a wealthy man foolish enough to put half of his assets 'in trust' to her the day he signed the marriage license. She just has to wait a sufficient time in the marriage in order to be fully 'vested' in half of his accumulated assets
