I'm sure the first one to cook in stone age was a man and showed the group (and therefor also the females) how to do it with fire. The first victims of fire incidents will probably also have been men because they were likely the ones that took a risk when trying things out. And today it's nothing else than how it has always been. Men discover and build things, women end up using it and try to take credit for the usage of it. But don't you dare to ask where it comes from or who showed them what to do with it... Of course there have been exceptions, but well they were and will be only exceptions. It's unlikely that women will outnumber men in terms of innovations and inventions, because it would request too much work and no time for whining etc to build the gap. But yeah let's pretend they contribute something. If there is one important thing they contribute to society, then it's that they are the easiest person to analyze what works on the commercial market and what not. Because women are the ones who spend more money than men, they generally buy more things (doesn't matter from where "their" money comes from) they refuse to spend money if it benefits a men (or a men too) but that is another topic for itself lol
